## Curious about DJing and ready to try it Yourself? This beginner-friendly workshop is Your first real step behind the decks. In 90 minutes, DNA. Member CZECH STRINGS — a multi-genre DJ with 10+ years of experience — walks You through everything You need to know to make Your first mix. No prior knowledge of DJing, music theory, or equipment is required. Zero. The session starts with the essentials: what a DJ actually does, what their role is, and how it all comes together. From there, CZECH STRINGS explains the gear using the decks available at the spot as a live example, applicable to any DJ setup You might encounter in the future. ##### You will learn the core technical skills needed for Your first transition: \* Beatmatching — how to align two tracks in tempo \* Cueing — how to prepare the next track for a seamless entry \* Track structure and phrasing — understanding how tracks are built so You know when to mix ##### EQUIPMENT: We’ll be working with a **Pioneer DJ XDJ-RR**, which can be used with USB sticks and Rekordbox. ##### WHAT YOU NEED: Nothing is required. If You'd like to bring Your own music on a USB stick, You're welcome to, but it will only work if the stick is formatted as MS-DOS (FAT) / FAT32 and the tracks have been analysed in Rekordbox beforehand. If that means nothing to You right now, don't worry. There's plenty of music ready to go. ##### GET YOUR HANDS ON THE DECKS: This isn’t just a demonstration. **You've learned the basics. Now let's actually mix & receive Feedback.** This intermediate workshop picks up where the beginner session left off. In 75 minutes, DNA. Member CZECH STRINGS takes You straight into the practical side; no theory recap, no equipment walkthrough. If You know how to beatmatch and You've made Your first transition, You're ready for this. ##### **The focus is hands-on from the start.** Everyone works closely around the decks together with CZECH STRINGS. The session is shaped around the music You bring and where You're at. Expect to actually mix, not just watch. **WE WILL WORK ON** \- Advanced mixing techniques — including hot cues\, EQ mixing\, and longer more controlled transitions \- Harmonic mixing — using key compatibility and track selection to make Your sets sound more musical \- Your own music — learning to work with the tracks You actually play and building confidence behind the decks\. **WHAT YOU NEED TO BRING:** A USB stick with Your music on it. The stick needs to be formatted as MS-DOS (FAT) / FAT32 and the tracks must be analysed in Rekordbox beforehand. The atmosphere is the same as always: focused, hands-on, no ego.
